Data retention
How long each type of data is kept, why the funnel window is a separate number, and how to delete your account.
| Data type | Retention |
|---|---|
| Session events (telemetry) | Kept indefinitely, on every plan |
| Conversations | 12 months |
userId, attributes, and role | Retained while your account is active |
Two numbers, and they are not the same number
We keep your events forever. Nothing deletes them, on any plan, and retention is not something you can run out of. A Journey you define today is computed against history that was already collected, so measuring something new does not start a waiting period.
A funnel is walked over the last 90 days of traffic. That is a query window, not a retention window: the older events are still there, and the funnel simply does not scan back past 90 days, because walking every event ever stored on every recompute is what makes the page slow rather than what makes it accurate.
The practical difference is small and worth stating anyway. A drop-off you are looking at today reflects the last 90 days. The events behind an older period are not gone, and widening that window is a change we can make without anyone losing data.
Conversations are different, on purpose
Chat conversations are kept for 12 months rather than indefinitely. They carry your end users' own words, which is a stronger reason to bound them than anything that applies to an anonymous click stream.
Deleting your data
To delete your account, email contact@arcyai.com. We process deletion requests within 30 days.
If your organization has a specific data-erasure requirement (for example, a named end user's full record under GDPR or CCPA), tell us at the same address so we can confirm scope with you directly rather than assume it.
