Account

Manage your own profile (name, photo, email, password, Department) and, as an admin, your Workspace Profile, from Settings > Account.

Settings > Account is where every Member manages their own identity, and where Workspace admins manage the Workspace's identity. It has two cards.

Your profile

Every Member sees this card. It holds everything about you as a person in the Workspace.

  • Profile picture. Upload a PNG, JPEG, GIF, or WebP up to 5MB, or remove it to fall back to your initials.
  • Name. Edit your first and last name. Your teammates see the result in the Team list and anywhere your name appears.
  • Email address. Your current primary address is shown on the page. Changing it opens a dialog: enter the new address, then enter the verification code we send there. Once verified, the new address becomes primary and the old one is removed from your account. If you close the dialog partway, nothing sticks and you can start over cleanly.
  • Password. The password fields sit right on the card. If you signed up with an email and password, enter your current password, the new one, and its confirmation, then press Change password. If you signed up with Google, you never had a password, so the current-password field is hidden and the button reads Set password instead. Either way, your other sessions are signed out when it succeeds.
  • Department. Set or clear your own Department. The field suggests the Departments already in use in your Workspace so near-duplicate labels do not pile up. Admins can still edit anyone's Department from the Team page.

Name and Department commit together with one Save. Save stays disabled until you actually change something, and Cancel reverts your edits. If one part of a save fails, the error names which part, so you never re-enter something that already saved.

Workspace Profile

Only Members holding the admin role see this card. It holds the Workspace logo, name, and slug, with the same single Save and Cancel. If the slug you pick is already taken, the form tells you so you can pick another. Nothing else in ARCY depends on the slug, so renaming it is safe.

The work email rule

If you created your Workspace, your primary email address must stay on a company domain. That rule is checked when you change your email, and enforced continuously.

  • The email dialog warns you immediately if the new address looks like a personal one (Gmail, Outlook, and similar), before any verification code is sent.
  • If a personal address does become your primary anyway, ARCY restores your previous work address as primary and emails you to explain. Your Workspace, your data, and your access are untouched. The change simply does not stick.
  • Invited Members are not subject to this rule. It applies only to the Workspace Creator.

If the warning fires on a legitimate company domain we have not seen before, complete the change anyway; if it gets reverted, reply to the notification email and we will sort it out.
